Musleh Faradhi, the Islamic Forum of Europe’s president, admits in the Guardian today that “we are not perfect, and have room for improvement.” But he does insist that the IFE works tirelessly and only for community cohesion and peace.
Here, in my second extract from the IFE’s official blog, you can see quite how committed all the group’s members are to peace. On 24 January 2009 Abdullah Hasan, a regular IFE blogger, and named as an IFE member on the Islamic Awakening website, quotes the “great and just” thirteenth-century anti-Crusader leader Salahuddin al-Ayyubi, “whose statement today is more relevant than ever.” [telegraph.co.uk] Read more
