Many British Muslims, like my patient, fervently erase their ethnicity with ritualistic religiosity, choosing distinction from their parents in a desperate search of politicised Muslim identity, with little understanding of Islam or politics.
[COMMENT] Moslems first have to decide whether they belong to a religion or a doctrine. The notion that Islamic laws prevail above all else makes it virtually impossible for many Moslems to live in a western society and abide by the laws of the State.
Regardless of religion there has to be an overriding principal that those who choose to live in a country or society with a different way of life have to integrate fully into that society and abide by its rules customs and laws. [Guardian Cif] Read more
