Muslim girl banned for wearing niqab quits school as she is 'too hurt to ever go back'

The Muslim teenager barred from one of London’s top state schools for wearing a full-face veil today said she was too “upset, hurt and angry” to ever go back.

The 16-year-old went home in tears after being told by Camden School for Girls that the face-covering niqab was not acceptable.

Today the girl, who the Standard is not naming, said she had decided to quit the school for good and is now studying for her A-levels at a sixth form college that allows her to wear the veil. [Evening Standard] Read more
