Police to ride school buses to save girls from racism

POLICE officers are being drafted on to Merseyside school buses to stop Muslim pupils being racially abused. The problems centre around verbal attacks on hijab- wearing girls at West Derby’s Holly Lodge Girls’ College. Last night, bus drivers who are accused of refusing to stop for the veil-wearing Muslim pupils in order to avoid trouble were also branded “racist”.

.... While all forms of discrimination are wrong, the parents aren't helping these girls integrate by making them appear 'different'.

The worldwide terrorism threat is predominately from a minority of Muslim extremists. That alone can make some people suspicious of all muslim people, especially when they make a visible outward show of being Muslim.
