The Uprising of Women in the Arab World, a women’s rights group that launched during the Arab Spring and advocates women’s rights, freedoms and independence in the Levant, is accusing Facebook of attempting to silence it.
The group recently released a statement saying that the accounts of five administrators of the group were blocked on November 7 after they each received the message: “You have posted a content that violates Facebook Community Rules, the post says: Follow us on Twitter @UprisingOFWomen.
