"There is no doubt that the word 'sharia' carries huge challenges in relation to public relations," declares the UK's most senior Muslim minister, Baroness Warsi. [A COMMENT] None of the 56 member states of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation observes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Although some of them originally signed up, they effectively repealed it in 1990 when they all subscribed to the sharia-compliant Cairo Declaration of Human Rights.
This bowdlerised abortion of a document removes so many of the rights conferred in the original Universal Declaration is it beyond ridiculous even to call it a charter for human rights.
