Blasphemy provisions clash with Constitution

This is the first in a series of posts, articles and editorials I will be doing for the IFPS on the matter of the new ‘blasphemy laws’ recently passed in Ireland by an astonishingly small number of votes. We feel that this issue is an important one, and worth watching closely. It most certainly is a law vague enough to lend itself to arbitrary and selective enforcement and is unlikely to be in any way conducive to freedom of speech.
