Who Is to Blame for "Islamophobia" in the UK?

.... last May, a poll by the British research firm, YouGov, showed that nearly two-thirds of Britons believe there will be a "clash of civilizations" between British Muslims and white Britons, and 34% believe that Muslims pose a serious threat to democracy.

As a Muslim living in the UK, I wonder, who is to blame for the increase in anti-Muslim feelings in the U.K.? Or is the problem "Islamophobia"?

If one dispassionately examines facts, it seems possible that if "Islamophobia" exists in the U.K., then perhaps we Muslims are to blame for it.

[A COMMENT] This article does seem a middle road attempt - which is either brave or foolhardy and certainly dangerous. The never-ending war between the competing Islams has no solution. As a student of humanity and particularly the effect of organised religions on societies, the same problem that has kept Muslims in the primitive state of its foundations is inescapable without a total reformation.

The problem isn't "Islamaphobia" - the word "phobia" means an *irrational* fear of something - typically harmless. The problem is the rapidly developing awareness of the insane threat of the most violent, primitive tribal belief system in all of history. No, not "Phobia" - awareness. The problem is that the irrationality of the core of Mohommadism leaves no way for its civilised development at all. [Gatestone Institute] Read more
