.... This is one of those occasions where I think that by listing the "vox populi" of both camps makes for an essential article, one that, when viewed a few years down the line .... will be a document that will attest to the terrible state we have sunk to.
The Enlightenment seems as far away as witch-burning and medieval torture. I hope someone who reads this in a few years' time will be shocked by our tolerance of other peoples' superstitions, superstitions that are backed up by barbaric threats.
